課程概述

台灣是個老化快速的社會，老化的程度在亞洲僅次於日本。老年醫學，特別是老年預防醫學日益受到重視。本課程旨在使臨床工作者熟悉老年預防醫學的各項議題、使非臨床工作者得見臨床老年醫療的梗概。
Taiwan is a rapidly aging society only second to Japan in Asia. Geriatric Medicine, particularly Geriatric Preventive Medicine, is getting more and more important nowadays. This course aimed to help clinicians familiarize with various issues in Geriatric Preventive Medicine and to help non-clinicians get the basic principles of clinical Geriatric Medicine.
 

課程目標
 本課程將依序介紹老年預防醫學與健康照護的重要議題，包括：成功老化與高齡醫學；高齡友善的醫院環境；醫病溝通、健康促進與衛生教育；高齡健康體位與三高；菸害防制；高齡用藥；中高齡疫苗接種；維生素D缺乏；預防醫學、健康篩檢與周全性老年評估；老年症候群與老人虐待；骨質疏鬆症；肌少症等。
Important issues in Geriatric Preventive Medicine and healthcare will be presented sequentially in this class, including: Successful aging and Geriatric Medicine; Age friendly hospital environment; Patient-clinician communication, health promotion and health education; Geriatric body stature and metabolic syndrome; Tobacco control; Geriatric prescription; Adult and geriatric immunization; Vitamin D deficiency; Preventive medicine, screening and comprehensive geriatric assessment; Geriatric syndrome and geriatric abuse; Osteoporosis; Sarcopenia. 
課程要求
 1.出席率與課堂參與：40%。
2.期末報告：
(1)口頭報告30%
(2)書面報告30%。
